How it works
WellaNet is a distributed layer that connects unused CPUs and makes them available for real workloads.
The reciprocal model: When you share your idle compute, you earn the right to use the same amount on WellaNet when you need it. This means:
- 🤝 Share 2 vCPUs while idle → Earn 2 vCPUs credit on WellaNet
- ⚡ Use WellaNet compute when you need extra power — at zero cost
- 🌍 Stop wasting resources globally — turn idle capacity into useful work
- 💪 Expand your available compute at no additional cost
Simple setup:
- 1) You run a sandboxed provider node (safe by default)
- 2) WellaNet dispatches workloads when there is idle capacity
- 3) You earn compute credits to use when you need extra power
Why this matters
Recent studies show that in cloud computing, only 13% of provisioned CPUs are actually utilized. In many cloud nodes, CPU utilization sits at just 20%.
This means 80-87% of compute capacity is idle or wasted — contributing to unnecessary energy consumption, higher infrastructure costs, and environmental impact.
WellaNet turns this waste into opportunity: your idle compute becomes someone else's productive work, while you earn the right to use shared resources when you need them.
